London Private Tour Guide

My name is Robina Brown – I am a qualified Blue Badge tourist guide and I work mainly as a driver-guide, taking couples, small groups and families with children (max 6 people) on customised tours in my own car. I also offer walks or museum visits, or tours by public transport if preferred.  

My City- London is both ancient and modern, where everyone can find something to interest them.  There are the classic London sites of Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London and Big Ben, but also more unusual places such as Highgate Cemetery, the pre-anaesthesia Old Operating Theatre or the Foundling Hospital.  Come and explore the vibrancy of the Bengali district of Brick Lane, the top quality shopping of Bond Street or the revamped Borough market with its wonderful food stalls.

The area around London, up to 100 miles, is easily reached in a day tour by car.  This includes places as well known as Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Bath, Stratford, Oxford and Brighton. One of the glories of Britain is the countryside and a day tour by car, with your own private guide, is an easy way to learn about this historic land.

About Me- I am British and have worked as a driver-guide for over 20 years.  I am also qualified to guide in Italian.  I have taken endorsement guiding courses for the British Museum, the Houses of Parliament, Salisbury Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral and York Minster.  At present I am on the Executive Council of the Association of Professional Tourist Guides.

Special Interest Tours- My main interests are gardens, history and prehistory.  Recently I have been researching film/book tours following in the steps of Harry Potter, Bridget Jones and the da Vinci Code. I am also happy to work with disabled people.  It is not easy for someone in a wheelchair to travel and I get great satisfaction if I can help in any way.
