Budapest Private Guide
My name is ANDRÁS (Andrew), from Budapest, in Hungary. I am a licensed tourist guide with 30 years of experience in English and Italian. I graduated in Hotel and Tourism High School and had a State degrees as a tourist guide 25 years ago. As all the local authorized guides, I am working for my own, I am a member of Driver Guides in Hungary and registered local guide of the JC in Budapest.
My City or Region - Welcome to Budapest, Hungary! Budapest is the capital of Hungary and located on both banks of the river Danube, home to one fifth of the country's inhabitants (about 2 Million). The area left to the Danube is the essentially flat Pest and the hilly Buda lies on the right-bank. Nine bridges connect the two sides. The most beautiful one is the Chain Bridge (Lánchíd). The old and romantic Castle District offers a breath-taking view of Budapest from the Fisherman's Bastion. Across from the Fisherman's Bastion is Matthias Church and the Royal Palace, which is now the home of museums and the National Gallery. Budapest called also the illuminated 'Paris of the East', spend an enjoyable evening with a marvelous view of the city. You will journey in style and at ease in care of a friendly, courteous licensed expert, who will also be your chauffeur, let's call him, your private driver-guide.
About Me – As well as guiding organized tour groups, I also work for INDIVIDUAL PRIVATE tours with my own car as DRIVER-GUIDE and give special care for congress and company VIP participants. When traveling by private car, anything is possible: guided tours in Budapest and trips throughout Hungary, car transfers, walking city tours, viewing beautiful Art Nouveau architecture, visit to interesting locations such as Turkish thermal baths, historical castles, museums, antique shops, hidden locations where a bus cannot get through.
Special Interest Tours - Immerse yourself in the history of the city and the traditions of Jewish society. Have a visit with me to the second largest synagogue in the World, the Dohany Street Synagogue and the Jewish Museum, the Jewish Memorial Garden, Tree of Life and other sights of the Jewish triangle synagogues with a pleasant walking through the mystic old Jewish quarter of Budapest.

My Past Guest's Comments
"Four of us used Andreas (Andrew) as a guide in Budapest. I would like to recommend him highly. Andrew is a very intelligent, interesting guide who speaks beautiful English. He has a very comfortable car (we were four people). His depth of knowledge is amazing. Most of all he is a very nice person, delightful to spend time with. His knowledge and love for his city are clear, and that makes the tour so special. We only wish that we had met him earlier in the trip, so that we could have spent more days touring with him. For anyone traveling to Budapest, using Andrew as your guide will definitely enhance your enjoyment of the trip." Ruth-Ann G., White Plains, NY, October 2005
