My name is Stefan Helgi Valsson. I am a native private local guide in Reykjavík and national guide for Iceland. I offer my professional services to individuals and groups of any size visiting my home town Reykjavik, and the rest of Iceland.

My country was officially settled by Pagan Norsemen in the 9th Century. The country is rich in natural wonders, history and culture. Natural wonders include Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss (Golden) waterfall, 30 active volcanoes and the Mid-Atlantic rift. Iceland is the home of the oldest still existing parliament in the world and an amazing number of talented artists and authors, considering its small population.

About me: I am a professional English-speaking tourist driver/guide who started guiding in 1988, and still loves his job! I have MA-degrees in tourism, adult education and journalism as well as having qualified as a tourist guide in three categories from the Iceland Tourist Guide School; general-, hiking- and adventure- and incentive. I have lived in Iceland most of my life but have also lived in the United States, South-Africa and the Netherlands.

Special Interest Tours: Active, educational, photography, northern lights, 4x4 safari, geology, Reykjavik city, Icelandic Saga, sports, and moderate hiking tours. Individuals, couples, families, large and small groups. Also journalists, travel agents, school groups, heads of state. I enjoy guiding while walking, hiking, driving a car, driving a 4x4 or a bus.

Overland: 560 Euro per day
