Belfast Private Tour Guide
My name is Anna Eggert. I am a fully qualified and experienced Blue Badge Guide and Tour Manager. I guide coach tours as well as private smaller groups or families and walking tours, mainly in Northern Ireland. I have worked as Tour Manager all over Europe and I guide all Ireland.
My City- Northern Ireland nowadays is a thriving place and Belfast is THE city to be: lots of pubs, restaurants, night life and entertainment, and most of the tourist attractions are free. See the wonderful City Hall, Queen’s University, Botanic Gardens and the Lanyon built Palm house. Climb Cave Hill, north of town, to get a brilliant view of Belfast and the area where the Titanic was built; visit Stormont parliament buildings in the east. History is never far away here, and uniquely you will see many political wall murals showing historic people or events or depicting a particular point of view.
About Me- I qualified ten years ago to guide in both English and German. I am a member of the Northern Ireland Tourist Guiding Association and a full member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding in London and I pride myself in continuous professional development.

My Past Guest's Comments
"A couple of Canadian friends accompanied me recently on a tour with Anna Eggert. The tour covered, among other things, political wall murals, Stormont and what remains of the Harland and Wolff shipyards. Anna was very knowledgeable. I've taught Northern Ireland politics at the university level for over 20 years, and I still learned a lot from the experience - Anna did not get a fact wrong. My friends and I agree that Anna's tour was easily the highlight of their visit to Belfast. I strongly recommend Anna to anyone who wants to find out about Belfast and its political geography." John McGarry, Professor of Political Studies, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada., December 2006
"I would like to send this comment to the page of guide Anna Eggert to thank you and to share my excellent experience. My name is Martin Loew and I am a freelance journalist and photographer from Prague, Czech Republic. I took a private tour of the northern coast of Northern Ireland with Anna on Friday 30th September. Anna understood very well my photographic needs and she was willing to do anything possible to enable me taking the pictures. We did the real “sunshine hunting”. Furthermore, she knew a lot about the life in Northern Ireland and the places we have visited, so having an all-day discussion with her was very interesting and of a great value for me. And she was not in a hurry for coming back to Belfast, what was very important, as the best light we have got right by the time of sunset. Thank you very much! "I think Anna Eggert who gave us the most astounding tour of Belfast should be specially thanked, she really knows and loves her city” Graham D Stephenson JP, Freelance Travel Writer & Photographer
"I have worked with Anna for 10 years and have always found her to be well-organized, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. One of her specialties is the political murals of Belfast. She gives a unique insight into their history and significance and can explain the subtleties which would escape the untrained eye. Anyone wanting genuine living history should definitely call Anna first. Very highly recommended." Lowell Courtney, Director Lynchpin Tours
