Siena Private Tour Guide

My name is Roberta - and I am a local licensed guide in Siena. I give private walking tours of this magnificent city, and I can also provide cars and drivers for driving tours to discover the essence of Tuscany that surrounds Siena.

My City- Siena is a unique example of a historic Tuscan hill town, because much of its medieval character has remained intact. The sumptuous black and white stripes of the Italian Gothic Duomo cathedral dominate the city skyline. Tall brick homes and palazzi, (do you remember your Crayola crayons? Think "burnt Sienna"!) form narrow streets, which cluster in semicircles around the breathtaking urban space of the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, home to the world-renowned Palio horserace.

About Me- I am 100% Italian, and I studied art history and foreign languages at the University of Firenze (Florence).  I speak English, German and Portuguese. I am a full time licensed guide, and I have been giving tours since 1993. 

Special Interest Tours- Rich and varied are the offerings of the Siennese province, including the vineyards of the Chianti and Montalcino regions, the lunar landscape of the Clay hills, the architectural gems of Montepulciano and Pienza, the medieval towers of San Gimignano, numerous Etruscan tombs and museums, and the evocative monasteries of Sant'Antimo and Monte Oliveto Maggiore.
