Krakow Private Tour Guide

Photo Private Krakow GuideMy name is Tomasz Cebulski. In my work I merge three of my passions history, guiding and genealogy. I am an independent guide mainly specializing in Jewish Travels in former Galicia and Central Europe. I lead individuals and groups personally  through Cracow, Auschwitz-Birkenau , Treblinka, Shtetls, Belzec , Lviv and all other locations in Southern Poland , Slovakia and Ukraine. Majority of my tours are connected with Jewish heritage or genealogy. I offer tailor-made walking and driving tours which would meet your travel expectations. More details about itineraries and places worth visiting at my web site (address below).

My City- I am based in Cracow and majority of my travel destinations are in Galicia. Discover the unique charm of Central Europe, exploring all the mysterious places in the city. Dragon’s den, “czakra” energy place on the Wawel Castle  and numerous legends and tales will move you back to times of the Middle Ages splendor. The Royal-Cesarean city situated by the Vistula river will fascinate you with its history, architecture and contemporary temperament. Anecdotes and stories based on daily life of the city inhabitants through the centuries will let you fully taste from the Galician, cultural melting pot.

Kazimierz – The former Jewish district is now a part of Cracow and together with the Cracow’s Market Square architectonical complex is inscribed on the INESCO World Heritage List. Kazimierz, with its synagogues, praying houses and bohemian character is a unique Jewish Heritage Site in Europe.

Nowa Huta – Social-realist urban complex build on the outskirts of Krakow in 1949. The district now is a prime example of totalitarian propaganda architecture and a silent witness of communist past.

Wieliczka – 700 years old Salt Mine inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Podgorze- former Ghetto and Schindler’s factory – district of Cracow where since 1941 to 1943 the German Nazis established Jewish Ghetto.

Auschwitz-Birkenau – German Nazi concentration and extermination camp located on the occupied Poland territories. Operating from 1940 to 1945. Over 1,5 million victims. Nowadays camp territory is a global symbol of Nazi Holocaust.

About Me- I am a licensed guide in Cracow and Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.  I graduated from two faculties at Jagiellonian University (International Relations , Middle East Studies) and now I continue with PhD program in Jewish genealogy in Poland.  I lead genealogical family research in Poland.  I speak English, French, Russian, basic Hebrew.

Special Interest Tours- I offer specialized tours focusing on history of Polish Jews. I prepared SHTETL (little Jewish villages and their remnants) sightseeing track in Poland.
