My name is Andrei Nicolau Miclea. I am a licensed English speaking private tour guide for Romania. With over 17 years of experience I offer guided tours of the country. I design and guide custom made private tours of Romania for couples and small parties.

My City or Region: Romania: the countryside with its peasant traditions, colorful costumes, crafts, horse - pulled wagons together with an opportunity to live in a small village and mingle with the locals, the unique painted World Heritage monasteries and wooden churches of Bucovina and Maramures, medieval Transylvania - a land rich in treasures of the past, filled with Saxon Heritage, fortifications, Gothic architecture, palaces and castles, the friendly Carpathian mountains and nevertheless Bucharest, an alert capital of 2.2 million, the largest in this part of Europe.
 
About Me: I have a BA in Economics and a MA in Medieval History. I love art and architecture. I am a licensed tour guide & tour leader since 1990. I have traveled to over 40 countries. I have also worked for many international travel agencies. I am fluent in English, Italian, German and Bulgarian.

My Prices

Guiding services only (no transportation):
Half day (up to 4 hours): 48 US Dollars
Full day (up to 8 hours): 88 US Dollars

Guiding services and driving (with my own transportation):
Half day (up to 4 hours): 85 - 110 US Dollars
Full day (up to 9 hours): 160 - 200 US Dollars

Each tour comes as a package. Its prices includes: accommodation with breakfast in three and four star hotels, fully insured minivan/sedan with climate control for the entire distance, fuel and parking fees, airport/railway station transfers, guiding & driving services throughout, guide’s expenses, lunch and dinner as per itinerary, admissions to sites/museums/churches, porterage except for customs areas, VAT and local tax (where applicable), detailed map of Romania.
